With You

Every Step Of The Way.

Coercive control is a pattern of behaviors that can emerge in close relationships, where one person gradually influences another’s choices, sense of self, and personal freedoms. This influence can take many forms, sometimes appearing as concern, overprotectiveness, or guidance, but over time, it may impact much more.

At Sorella, we help those in, exiting or surviving these relationships.

Clarity & Awareness

Gaslighting is a core tactic of coercive control, making survivors question their memories, perceptions, and even their worth. "Ungaslighting" yourself is the process of untangling manipulation, trusting your own mind again, and reclaiming your truth. This takes time, but with awareness and practice, you can rebuild your confidence and clarity.

Navigating Challenges

Family court can be particularly challenging for women leaving coercively controlling relationships. Their abusers often use the legal system as a tool of continued control, known as post-separation abuse.
